PJ was the realization of a dream of Kurt’s.  We have had sheep for many years and Kurt always wanted a Border Collie to help with the chores.  Connie wanted help for Kurt so she did not have to chase the sheep when they escaped.  PJ enjoys the show ring, camping, herding sheep and running through mud puddles on the farm.  The night and morning before shows she is band from chores, because it is the only way to keep her clean.  She is Kurt’s constant companion.

PJ is always ready for something.  There is always a ball or Kong that needs chasing, a sheep that is not where it belongs, a stick that needs to be thrown or a drive to town.  She has even been known to herd the Bloodhounds back to the house after a run in the pasture.  Compared to a Bloodhound a Border Collie is a dog that runs on pure caffeine and adrenaline.   She loves to eat crackers and chips with Kurt and Cat; however afterward when Cat lies down and rests, PJ brings tennis balls so Kurt can throw them for her.  To date no one has been able to throw tennis balls longer than PJ is willing to chase them.
